According to the market researches, Americans on average are spending more each month for wireless phone service than for service through the wires.
Cell and radio phones have become a major part of everyday life. In terms of telephone communication, they distinguish between long distance telephone services. Long distance telephone calls are made outside a certain area and are characterized by an area code outside of a local call area. Long-distance calls are usually charged more. These charges vary between phone companies.
Local calls have shorter numbers than Long distance calls, because the area code may is not included. But, it is not everywhere in the U.S. and Canada.
